Hi, I am Malcolm! I am a prepper and outdoor enthusiast. I have been writing articles and creating YouTube videos about prepping, survival and the outdoors since 2014. My YouTube channel, Survival Know How, has amassed over 100,000 subscribers as of 2021.
From my early days in the boy scouts, to my years of traveling the country and the world, I have always enjoyed hiking, camping, and developing the skills to be self-reliant. I have traveled to over 40 states in the US and visited over 20 countries across 4 contents.
I spent over 11 years in the United States Air Force before being medically discharged in 2017 at the rank of Tech Sergeant, E6. During my military career, I held a Top Secret, SCI with a Yankee White security clearances and spent over 4 years working at the White House and several years for the NSA in Japan. During my 11 years of military career, I traveled the world and spent time in Afghanistan, Israel, Myanmar, Chili, Brazil, Japan, and numerous other countries.
I feel my time in the military and working firsthand with the White Houses emergency preparedness programs has only heightened my understanding of the importance of the average person being as prepared for emergencies and possessing the ability to be self-reliant if need be.
